Ultrasound was invented for war ➨
Very few people will know that today the technology is used throughout the world to identify a girl in the womb. It was used during the war.
This discovery happened to know about bats -
It was invented to guide ships in the sea during the war. The story of ultrasound began about two hundred years ago in 1794. An Italian biologist / Italian biologist was curious to know how bats look in the dark. He found that he estimated the distance based on the time it takes for the sound waves to return after colliding with something, based on this, he devised the instrument called sonar.
It was used in war -
During the First World War, the Allied countries, troubled by the increasing power of German submarines, needed a device that allowed ships to detect targets within the sea. For this, the scientist used the sonar machine . American, British and French governments invested money and in 1918 Allied forces were using sound waves to locate German U-Boats.
Experiments started in medical world -
After the war, doctors felt that the sonar machine could also be used in medicine. Ultrasound was first used in surgery. It turned out that the sound waves can be hot and can destroy the tissue. Therefore, the path of treatment for diseases like Ulcer. In 1949, a chemist used this new technique to detect gallstones in Shawano. Since then, ultrasound has also been used to detect diseases. Now the sound of the internal organs inside the zary body of sound waves colliding and returning.
Experiment used to determine the fetal position
In 1959, Scottish obstetrician Eoin Donald accidentally introduced a pregnant woman to the new technique. He noticed that the sound waves were returning after hitting the fetus. Doctors were not able to use X-rays on pregnant women as there was a risk of harm to the fetus. So Donald's discovery opened up new possibilities. Now doctors have found a new means of monitoring risky pregnancy.
Success in identifying gender in womb -
Initially, the possibility of identifying the sex of the fetus with this technique was slim, as the ultrasound machine of the beginning was not as it is today. The machines of the 1960s were very complex. One model was called Articulated Arm Scanner, which doctors used to measure the size of the fetus. She could tell in the slogan of the child growing in the womb, but it was impossible to see her fingers and claws, except to identify very small sexual organs. But after a few years this deficiency was also completed when the high-resolution ultrasound machine came and helped the parents in the identification of the sex of the fetus in the womb worldwide.
Note- It is a legal offense to have a sex check done in the womb. Feticide is a punishable offense. There is a provision to take appropriate action against those who do so.
